Last week our Co-Founder and CEO, Nilam Holmes-Patel, won the SME Business Award at the Celebrating Yorkshire Woman in Business Awards 2016.
With guest speakers such as the managing director of Barclays, Leeds West Labour MP, Rachel Reeves and the CEO of a popular fashion brand, the aim of the awards event was to promote and encourage gender diversity in the workplace, after recognising a lack of females in senior roles across their organisation.
Other nominees in the SME Business Award category included a host of successful females who have started their own companies in everything from childcare, to hotels and cleaning.
‘Being nominated in a category with such amazing and inspiring business women was an honour in itself. We are a female driven business, and we aim to inspire women in the industry helping them to start and progress in their own careers, mentoring them at each stage. I’m thrilled and honoured to have been awarded the Woman of the Year SME Business award. Thank you to my amazing team and all of our Stylists, Stockists and Make Up Artists, I couldn’t do it without you all. Here’s to another exciting year!’ Nilam Holmes-Patel.
