BrowSculpt Eyebrow Lamination Aftercare
Brow lamination is a professional treatment designed to reshape and set your brows into your ideal position. To maintain your results and keep your brows looking their best, following the right aftercare is essential. These simple aftercare tips will help extend your results and keep your brows healthy between appointments.
How to look after brow lamination in the first 24/48 hours after treatment
As part of your eyebrow lamination aftercare, it is crucial that you:
- Avoid getting the brow area wet for 24 hours
- Avoid contact with direct sunlight, sunbeds, saunas, steam rooms and swimming pools for 48 hours
- Avoiding excessive rubbing or touching of the treated area for 24 hours
We also recommend that you follow these guidelines in the run up to and the days after your BrowSculpt treatment:
- Avoid using exfoliating and anti-aging skincare around the brow area for three days before and after your treatment
- Avoid fake tanning products on the face for three days before and after your treatment
- Your stylist will apply some makeup at the end of your treatment, however you should avoid applying any makeup to the area around the brow for 24 hours
How do I keep my brows in shape after brow lamination?
Brow lamination doesn’t permanently fix hairs in place, it breaks down the hair structure to allow for easy manipulation and shaping. To maintain your look, simply brush your brows into place each day using a spoolie brush, available on House of Nouveau. Results typically last 6–8 weeks, depending on your hair growth and aftercare routine.
For added hold or a more defined finish, you can use a strong eyebrow gel like our Brow Glue (available on House of Nouveau) to keep hairs in place throughout the day.
Can I get my brows wet after lamination?
Avoid getting your brows wet for the first 24 hours after your treatment. This includes swimming, long baths, and excessive moisture, as it can affect your results.
Can I wear makeup after brow lamination?
Avoid applying heavy makeup around the brow area for 24 hours, especially foundation or concealer. This helps prevent irritation and clogged pores while the hair follicles reset.
Can I be in the sun or use heat treatments?
Avoid direct sun exposure, tanning beds, saunas, and steam for at least 48 hours, as the skin may be more sensitive after treatment.
Can brow lamination be reversed?
Brow lamination is a chemical process similar to a lash lift or perm and cannot be undone immediately. However, your brows are not fixed in place so if you prefer a softer look, you can simply brush them into a different position. Results will gradually fade over 6–8 weeks as your brows return to their natural growth pattern.
What should I apply to my brows after lamination?
To keep your brows healthy and hydrated, apply our HD Brows Brow Miracle Daily Conditioner, available at House of Nouveau. This will help maintain softness, shine, and overall hair health, especially after a chemical treatment. For deeper conditioning, try our SOS Rescue Brow Balm as an intensive overnight treatment to restore and protect the brows.
What should I not do after brow lamination?
Here’s what not to do after your brow lamination treatment:
Do not get the brows wet for 24 hours
Do not use sunbeds, saunas, steam rooms and swimming pools for 48 hours
Do not touch or rub the treated area for 24 hours after your treatment
Do not exfoliate or apply anti-aging skincare or tanning products around the brows for 72 hours
Do not forget to apply your conditioning serum twice daily
Stick to these 5 rules for the very best results.
