Let’s take it back to where it all began! Could you tell us a bit about how your career at HD Brows started?

My journey with HD Brows began in 2014. Back then, I wasn't even a part of the beauty industry. I started my HD career as part of the sales team but quickly realised the classroom was where I wanted to be. I quickly immersed myself in the world of brows and content creation. It's been a whirlwind ever since!

What are some of your highlights of your time with HD Brows?

Oh, there have been so many highlights! From teaching thousands of students across the UK and the US to working backstage at events like the MTV EMAs, Dancing on Ice, Strictly Come Dancing and endless beauty shows, each moment has been unforgettable.

I've also had the opportunity to work on every HD Brows campaign and even appear in front of the camera for one of them. It's been an incredible journey filled with laughter, learning and endless adventures.

What is your proudest career achievement so far?

It's tough to pick just one but if I had to choose, I'd say working on Dancing on Ice. I grew up watching the show with my nan. Fast forward a couple of years and I'm working backstage on the show.

I remember one year when Didi Conn (Frenchie from Grease) was a celebrity skater and we got chatting whilst doing her treatment. Then she was on the phone to my nan inviting her to come watch the show. The following day me and my Nan were heading down to watch the show followed by drinks with her new celeb friends.

What is one piece of advice you’d give to any brow bosses looking to grow their career?

My advice to any brow boss looking to grow their career is simple; never stop learning and never be afraid to take risks. The beauty industry is constantly evolving, so it's important to stay ahead of the curve and be open to new opportunities. And most importantly, always be your own biggest fan.

Finally, what’s next for Jamie Long?

Well, the future is looking bright! I'm excited to focus on growing Jamie Long Studio and taking my podcast What The Pluck? to new heights. I'll also be exploring freelance opportunities in content creation and continuing to share my love for all things beauty with my amazing followers.

The journey is far from over, and I can't wait to see where it takes me next!

Jamie will be hugely missed by everyone at HD HQ and we’re sure you’ll join us in wishing him all the best for the future. We’ll always be here to support his journey in being one of the best in the brow business.
